Meet the Analyst – Alex Edwards

Name: Alex Edwards

Title: Senior Media Analyst

How long have you been strategizing/analyzing/ producing straight fire at Net Conversion?

Since February – so about a year.

Favorite moment at Net Conversion so far?

I can’t say climbing the metal structures inside the office…but, genuinely seeing a client plan be created, presenting to the client, implementing and seeing the plan be a successful plan. It’s great to see your creation work out for a client.

If you could bring back a fashion trend, what would it be and why?

The surfer hair style. Like people would break their neck trying to swoosh their hair sideways *insert Alex trying to swoosh hair, that he does not have*

Who do you admire most at Net Con that’s not on your team?

Justine seems like a badass, always doing cool shit and negotiating for our clients. She just seems like a powerful woman that knows her stuff.

What’s the last thing you did for the first time?

I did an improv class a few weeks back and I performed at the SAK Comedy Club. I used to do acting and I’ve missed it, so that was a lot of fun.

What’s your guilty pleasure right now?

Pizza and Binge watching TV

What’s an obscure TV show or movie that everyone should watch?

What We Do In The Shadows (Movie) – the director has done a bunch of cool stuff that everyone knows, it’s such a funny movie.

Do you have a favorite dinosaur?

T-Rex – going classic. I love that he has little arms but can destroy anything.

If you did not have to sleep, how would you spend the extra eight hours?

I think I would like to do my regular job during those hours, and then do other stuff I want to do during the day.

What’s a simple life hack that everyone can benefit from?

This is going to be a nerdy one. If you direct deposit the money for the bills that you have to pay (like rent, car, etc) each paycheck and you put that into a separate account, you end up not having to worry about paying your bills + at the end of the year, you magically have a month of savings towards your bills.

If you had a magic button on your desk to bring you whatever you wanted, what would it summon?

Shit…maybe like really good coffee at all times. Like exactly the coffee I want in that moment would be ideal. I would never have to get coffee again…and let me tell you, I drink a lot of coffee.

What’s the worst piece of advice you’ve ever been given? And why was it so bad?

The worst advice I ever got was from my parents telling me nothing good happens after midnight. It’s just wrong.

What’s the next item on your bucket list?

I really want to scuba dive somewhere cool – like the Great Barrier Reef.

Anything else you want your fans to know?

Shout out to my wife, we’re about to celebrate our one year anniversary. She’s a badass and she’s really patient with all my shenanigans.

What’s your favorite concert?

Guns & Roses was a great production. But my favorite was Justin Timberlake when he did a private concert for Microsoft at Camping World Stadium.

PS. If you want to hang you can always find me rock climbing at Blue Swan Boulders.

PSS. I really love concerts. I’ve been to 160!
