Meet the Analyst – Michael Simitses

Name: Michael Simitses

Title: Marketing Analyst

How long have you been strategizing/analyzing/ producing straight fire at Net Conversion?

Just over a year – my one year was last week.

Favorite moment at Net Conversion so far?

It’s gotta be..uh..the gummy eating contest between Grant and Nehemie. It was my “first party” at Net Con and they were pitted to eat this gummy worm on stage. I immediately thought this office is not like a normal office.

If a movie was made of your life what genre would it be, who would play you?

An Action comedy – and i’m going to go with Leonardo Decaprio. “Can I ask why Leo?” He’s just a stud. A real good looking dude.

Who do you admire most at Net Con that’s not on your team?

That’s hard, cause there are a lot of people to admire here. But I have to go with Amanda Sumner. She embodies the culture and value of NC so well, and she just truly cares about our clients. Great role model all around.

Greeks love food, but what was your least favorite food as a child? Do you still hate it or do you love it now?

Brussels sprouts and mushrooms. Historically this has not changed, and this will never change. I never need to eat those ever again.

If you could add anyone to Mount Rushmore who would it be; why?

Dwayne Wade cause he’s just the GOAT.

Would you go with aliens if they beamed down to Earth?

Honestly yea, I would go see what’s up. As long as they didn’t look too threatening at first.

If you could be guaranteed one thing in life (besides money), what would it be?

Happiness – is that too easy? Is that corny? Or an unlimited supply of Chipotle which is kinda like happiness. So overall happiness.

If you could be immortal, what age would you choose to stop aging at and why?

I would say 30 – even though I’m not 30 yet – but I feel like you still look pretty young, but you’re not a kid who definitely looks like a baby. Hopefully I won’t get carded at 30.

If you could eliminate one thing from your daily routine, what would it be and why?

My daily commute. It’s only 12 minutes…but I value efficiency.

What’s something we’d be surprised to learn about you?

I really like the outdoors and being secluded and not being in Florida. I can pretty much just sit on the lake, take a couple of hikes and be happy.

What is one thing you want older generations to know about teenagers today?

I want older generations to know that their general opinion on teenagers is correct, most teenagers today are the worst.

What current fact about your life would most impress your five year old self?

I guess the fact that I’m not broke, I have a job, I made it through college, I’m  not living at home…you know we out here. We made it. For a sec I was really worried I was going to live in my mom’s basement for a while.

How old were you when you learned that Santa – gasp – doesn’t exist?

I think I was like 8 or 9. Funny story: my family used to hire people to play Santa. Like I was really into it. I saw Santa every year, putting presents under the tree. And one night my uncle was gone, he said he was going to get beer. But I saw him come back and I called him a fraud and was depressed for a few weeks after.

Anything else you want your fans to know?

No. Not really. I will rep FSU till I die. But that’s pretty much it, 3-0 baby, Go Noles.
