Congrats on winning NC Proud! Tell us about your journey with NC and how you got here:
I started at Net Conversion in the month of March 2 years ago, almost 2 years to the day that I won NC Proud! I started as a Senior Media Buyer, working with a fabulous team. In January, I was promoted to Manager, and now I have the pleasure of managing that fabulous team!
How did you get into this industry?
When I was 16, my grandfather ran a radio station. I got into media through that; it was fun and different. I started out my career there and eventually worked with iHeartMedia, putting concerts on for them. After that, I got into the TV side of media and fell in love.
What's the most memorable (enjoyable) experience you've had at NC?
Falling in a swamp full of alligators during the Camper Retreat at Wekiva is definitely the most memorable, but I would honestly say the people. I can't pinpoint a specific memory; it's just a general one of my time here. I love working with everybody; it's an amazing group.
If you had to survive on a deserted island for a week, which three coworkers would you bring with you and why?
I think my number one would be Brandon Orr; he is strategic, and he's so fun. We make a great team. My second would have to be Jacqueline Griswold; she's my right hand. She would definitely come up with a solution to our problems (fire/food). I'd pick Kristina Canada, also. We laugh so hard when we talk, and she's a strategic thinker.
City or Countryside?
Countryside - I'm a country girl from Oklahoma, born and raised here.
If you could go on a vacation anywhere completely paid, where would you go, and why/what would you do?
I would definitely want to do one from my bucket list, Ireland (especially with my last name being O'Connor). I hear Dublin is fun, but I'd also be happy to visit the countryside.
The infamous question: If you could have any superpower, what would it be, and would you keep it a secret?
My superpower would be the ability to read someone's mind. The reason being that I'd also know exactly what they want/need. I wouldn't tell everyone, though, only my husband.
If you could eat at a restaurant for free for the rest of your life, what restaurant would you choose?
So I love hibachi and sushi. Here in Oklahoma, we have a restaurant called Sumo, which is very good. They have a hibachi side and a sushi side, so that would be my pick.
Would you rather only be able to whisper or only be able to shout?
I would have to go with whisper - I already feel like I'm a loud person (lol).
If you were the only person on Earth for a day, what would you do?
Theme parks! I'd go to Universal - I love Harry Potter and I love that I wouldn't have to wait in line.
What's something that instantly brings you joy when you think/talk about it?
My corgis - we have Charlie and Noonan. My husband is a huge fan of the movie Caddyshack (the caddy's name is Danny Noonan), and we live on a golf course, so we named him after that character.

Do you collect anything (if so, what is it, and why do you love it so much?)
When I was younger, I was a huge Wizard of OZ fan. I would collect any and everything I could get my hands on. Also, I'm not sure if it counts, but now I have a Jeep and have a ton of those rubber ducks on my dash.
What's your favorite thing about yourself/your personality?
The one thing I love about myself is my uncanny ability to read people after meeting them. When I chat with someone for a bit, I can instantly tell what type of person they are.
If you could have a personal theme song play every time you entered a room, what would it be?
Don't worry, be happy - Bobby McFerrin
What's a message of encouragement that you want to leave to the readers of this article?
Continue giving it your all. I have worked in media for many years, and it took until I found Net Conversion to find a place where I feel like I truly fit in. Keep trying, work hard, and stay positive.
