How long have you been a camper here at Net Conversion?

I have been here almost two years… it will be two years in January… Yeah, I’m gonna lock in with that answer. It feels way longer, like four years.

What’s your favorite NC memory?

Honestly, it’s a heartwarming and funny memory. When I first started, I was flying between Ohio and Orlando because I hadn’t fully moved down from Ohio yet. I was coming down to the office once a month. This specific time, I had a flight delay, and I was going to miss our office’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration. I was frustrated and overwhelmed with all the travel and flight info. I messaged the Admin team (Sheyanne and Laina) to ask for help. They immediately helped me reschedule and even sorted it out so I could make the St. Patrick’s party and spend time with everyone in the office. I was so grateful.

What’s the best piece of work advice you’ve ever received?

The biggest thing is always the separation between work and life. When I was working from home, the best advice I got was to set space away from my personal life. Setting a physical location to work, like a specific desk area in another room, and creating boundaries to create work/life balance.

If you could have any superpower for a day, what would it be and why?

Easy, teleportation. It would be a dream, obviously, for vacation stuff. Also, since I’m from up north, I can visit family and friends and bop around all in one day.

What’s the most memorable concert you’ve attended?

There are two – the first is when I was growing up. I was a die-hard ACDC fan in elementary and middle school. In 2009, they had a new album, and my dad bought us tickets to their concert. It was so unreal, probably the coolest thing, especially as a middle schooler. The second one was my Junior year of high school. It was a G-eazy concert, and Logic made an appearance. Logic was still a small artist at that point, but seeing two (now) big artists was so cool.

If Net Conversion had a theme song, what would it be?

Life’s Too Short – Two Friends

There is always music playing in the office, and this one is one of the songs I’ve heard; it makes me think of NC when I hear it now.

What hobby or activity have you always wanted to try?

My problem is I’m an extremely competitive person, but I’m horrible at Golf. I’ve wanted to learn and get better, but everyone down here (in Florida) golfs, and I can’t go play and get destroyed.

Trevor was the winner of our 2023 Summer Pool Tournament!

What’s a fun fact not many people know about you?

I’m a certified entry-level sommelier – I took a class in college called Wines of the World. For whatever reason, it really clicked.

If you could create a new holiday, what would it be, and how would people celebrate?

I feel like we need a National Day-Off Day. A national day where everyone does nothing. One day, when everything is shut down, we all stay home to do nothing.

What’s your dream team-building event (no budget involved)?

I’d want to do something international. If it has to be a productive trip, we could go to a country where we can all learn a new language. If it doesn’t have to be productive, a yacht trip off the Amalfi coast for a week, and we all hang out.

Can you come up with a motivational quote on the spot for the readers?

Keep moving forward – That’s always gotten me through; that’s the mantra.

What is your most-used emoji?

I have two:

💜 – My favorite color has always been purple, so I usually react with this one

🙃 – I relate the most to the upside-down smiley face, lol

Pancakes or waffles?

Belgium Waffles – Strawberries, whipped cream, and syrup – easy.

What’s your most embarrassing childhood memory that still makes you laugh today?

It was when I was young, and we moved from Chicago to Indiana. We were having a goodbye party our last week in Chicago, and all the kids wanted to do a final bike ride around the block. I decided I was going to race my brother. I turned to look at him to laugh because I was winning, and when I turned back around, I smacked into the hood of my mom’s car. I had a bloody nose for 30 minutes and still get teased to this day for it.

Any last words/thoughts?

There’s a quote that I like, but I don’t remember who says it. “Never attribute to malice that which can be attributed to neglect or ignorance.” Not everyone is out to get you or has bad intentions.
