Senior Analyst Business Intelligence
How long have you been with Net Con?
Just over three wild and crazy years.
What clients do you work on?
My big owned project would be American Safety Council and their +1,000 API connections powering their data feeds. The rest of the time, I get to drop in on nearly all clients to support data visualization or database architecture. There are only a handful of clients where I haven’t at least peaked under the hood.
Favorite moment at Net Con thus far?
Around the holidays, we had this stretch where people just started bringing their dogs in ALL the time. One day there must have been 12 or 15 dogs running around. They eventually formed a pack and took over the hallway. People had those smiles on that don’t go away for a few days – it was awesome.
What’s your philosophy toward working here?
Stay curious. I think that’s one of our Net Con values, but to me it means never take for granted the expertise and talent that we have in our company. Growth needs to go beyond your immediate job at hand, and we have an amazing attitude of curiosity and excitement about bettering our strengths AND finding new tech and practices.
Who do you admire most at Net Con that’s not on your team?
Sheri. She has tremendously calming poise and professionalism. Traditional media is a mysterious world to me but Sheri just gets it done and owns it.
What’s your favorite Net Con Perk?
Our one-on-one relationships with leadership. Their desire to help us grow, stay challenged, be happy, and have everything we need is genuine and literally part of your individual goals. It’s not something you can brag about as easily as our beautiful office and physical perks to outsiders. Sure, we have great food and benefits (aka bites & bennies), awesome outings, tech… but lately I have been doing a lot of deep searching about what the next several years of my career are going to look like and it all comes back to the growth, learning, and support that Net Conversion fosters.
What’s a favorite project you’ve done/proudest accomplishment?
The fact that we’re over 1,000 API connections in ASC and we can make it work. That’s huge.
What do you do when you’re not at work?
I design products and deal with the nitty gritty of running my men’s retail company Arcane Supply Co. (which was featured on Men’s GQ, but Lucas wouldn’t say that – author’s note), cook, write, cycle, and occasionally sleep.
What is your favorite thing to do in the wonderful city of Orlando?
I’m a big supporter of local sports, and love going to Orlando City and Magic games. I’m proud to see the new stores and restaurant spaces opening as well, especially in Winter Park and Winter Garden.
Team Jet or Team Yacht?
Team Jet all the way. Boats are floating docks with toilets.
What’s your go to dish to bring to a potluck?
I make mean honey-balsamic brussels sprouts
